Karl is Ming’s cousin and an attending physician at Mercy Hospital.  He served as Ming’s tutor to help her get into medical school, and has always had a large impact on her life.  Brash and arrogant, he enjoys goading the rivalry between Fitz and Chen.  He flaunts his status at the hospital and within his family.

 

BYRON LAWSON

 

Byron Lawson is a talented and versatile actor who has been making a name for himself in television and film, since booking his first commercial after college. The Vancouver born and raised Chinese Canadian can be recognized from his many varying film and television roles. Most recently, Byron Lawson just finished filming the thriller Dangerous Man with Steven Seagal. Lawson plays Mao in the film, a ruthless gangster who pulls Seagal into the middle of a drug war.

 

Since first stepping onto the entertainment scene, Lawson has also appeared in such films as: The Corruptor (Chow Yun Fat and Mark Wahlberg), Romeo Must Die (Jet Li), Snakes on a Plane (Samuel L. Jackson), and the Lifetime Network MOW Murder on Spec. 

 

Lawson’s television appearances include a lead in CBC’s These Arm’s of Mine, a lead role in the hit sci-fi series Jeremiah, and supporting roles in ABC’s mini-series Fallen and Josh Berman’s (CSI:Crime Scene Investigation) FOX series Killer Instinct.  Lawson’s other accomplishments include being voted No. 12 in Canada's TOP 20 Sexiest Men by Entertainment Tonight Canada.

 

Byron Lawson currently resides in Los Angeles. He is interested in architecture, home design, cars and motorbikes. He also enjoys staying active with Canada’s favourite pastime: hockey; and he is always doing his best to stay active outdoors somehow.
